Thames Valley Police Museum Open Mornings

July 13, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Thames Valley Police has a small museum at the White House, at the Thames Valley Police training centre in Sulhamstead.

It includes displays on the history of Thames Valley Police and the five police forces that merged to form it: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxford City, Oxfordshire and Reading Borough.

The museum’s collections include items from the Great Train Robbery of 1963, uniforms, equipment, medals, scenes of crime evidence, and Amelia Dyer.

Visits to the museum are by appointment only, with a maximum group size of six. The museum offers a non-appointment Wednesday, where visitors can attend between 10:00-12:00 on Wednesdays without having to book an appointment or pay a visitor fee. From 20 October the museum will only be open on Wednesdays.
