Plenty to do over the weekend with the family across Burghfield and Mortimer, but there is definitely a ‘theme’ to the Bank Holiday weekend.
On Friday, it’s the final Bulging Sack In The Park hosted by the Burghfield Santas on Friday 26th August.
The six previous events this summer have raised over £12,000 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance so hopefully they can add to this total.
Beer this week from the Double Barrelled Brewery in Reading, Stardust from Maidenhead way as well as plenty more. This week’s food option is Caribbean from local street food vendor Taste Flavours.

Saturday sees two events in Mortimer as the Mortimer West End & District Annual Show takes place while the Horse & Groom Pub is hosting a beer festival that will include plenty of locally produced beer, a gin and prosecco bar and live music. That’ll Saturday’s walk planned out for us Burghfieldians then.
Looking ahead to next week, it’s Open Mic night at the Six Bells on Tuesday so worth making a booking if you fancy showing off your talent.
